God Also Made A Covenant Or Promise With King David That God Would Build David A “House”, And Promised That His Throne Would Be Established For Ever Before David, Although This Would Take Place After David’s Death And Future Resurrection, When His “Seed” Jesus Would Occupy David’s Throne.

•“Also the Lord tells you [David] that he will make you a house. When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I will be his Father, and he shall be my son…And your house and your kingdom shall be established for ever before you. Your throne shall be established for ever” (2 Samuel 7:11-16).
-
•“I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn to my servant David: Your seed I will establish for ever, and build up your throne to all generations…His seed also I will make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven…My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of my lips. Once I have sworn by my holiness; I will not lie to David; his seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me; it shall be established for ever like the moon, even like the faithful witness in the sky” (Psalm 89:3-4, 29, 34-36).

•“The Lord has sworn in truth to David; he will not turn from it: I will set upon your throne the fruit of your body” (Psalm 132:11).

•“Therefore, [David] being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, he, foreseeing this, spoke of the resurrection of the Christ…This Jesus God has raised up” (Acts 2:30-32).
